Emmenthelar (or Emmental)

A traditional Swiss cow’s milk cheese, semi-hard in texture, pale yellow in color, and famous for its large “eyes” (holes). It has a mild, nutty, and slightly fruity flavor that deepens with age, and it’s one of Switzerland’s oldest and most iconic cheeses. Mild, buttery, slightly sweet to fruity, nutty, more complex, with a sharper tang.
